How to Wash Clothes

1. Sort
Separate lights, darks, and heavily soiled items. Check pockets and close zippers.
2. Pretreat stains
Blot wet stains. Use a stain remover on set-in marks before the load goes in.
3. Choose a format
Liquids are easy to measure. Pods are pre-dosed. Powder works well on everyday soil. Concentrated tiles take up less space.
4. Load and dose
Do not pack the drum. Follow the dose on the pack for load size and soil level.
5. Pick a cycle
Use the warmest water the care label allows. Cold water still cleans with a modern Tide formula when the label requires it.
